Do not use linseed oil? that make your teak black!

Using the absolute best oil is tung oil.
Products as "teak oil" may be sold include wood oil. also contain cheap oils, dyes and other garbage. To apply oil:

Clean the wood with a soft brush and soap from wood. Hard or rigid role will be to damage the grain of soft wood brush. Rinse well. (You may need to repeat this several times. If it is too dark, you may have to bleach with bleach teak available) in the ship's stores
If it is clean, let dry.
After drying, apply with a brush on the Tung was a 50% diluted with alcohol. Let stand for several minutes, then wipe off excess with a rag.
When dry sand lightly with 100 grains. Then use a brush to apply tung more diluted this time around 80%.
Wipe again, dry, sand, and finally for more than 80%.
Dry cleaning up after a few minutes with a soft cloth with alcohol and let dry.

it is much simpler than the noise and the results are fantastic.
I worked on boats in teak for long.

Linseed oil works well. Just for a little on a cloth, then wipe on the furniture. Flaxseed oil works very well on wood and furniture.
